Unfortunately sir, Series 1 and 2 seem to be very quiet at the moment. Challenge? appear to have shown S3 first mainly on a popularity assumption. In a way, this could be a favour in disguise, because excellent viewing figures on the repeats seemed to have paved the way for more series being bought up. After series 4, we can only hope and pray that more might be on the way for Challenge? However, it is costly for such a channel, and what I'd hope, where these particular series are concerned (for I'd expect that any further series shown by Challenge? will be later of Series 4, not previous) is this if, as we're campaigning, KM is released on VHS / DVD (the VHS needs to be really addressed with more scope!) - then these would be released chronologically, therefore meaning that S1 and S2 would be the first available for all to see.

I should hope so tooo! There seems to be a trend nowadays of reviving old TV shows - probably so people can relive their past and also because most new TV shows are crap!

Yes, sir. There are a lot of really good arguments flying about on the 'Bring Back Knightmare' segment of this forum - and this is one. Looking at the shows released on DVD at the moment - one can be baffled as to why the likes of Knightmare is not amongst them, and above them in priority. There are a lot of issues to take into account. I've stressed before how I think it could be a huge, huge commercial success - with it not only attracting new potential viewers between about 7 and 15, but also keeping its original fans, now a lot older, and even generations above. With the time gap since Knightmare, that has allowed another great big category of young people to await something like Knightmare to hit their lives. The new projects underway at the moment should be quite a breakthrough in this era where the excitement of Knightmare is missing on today's TV - but the original KM can always be a monumental player on the UK's thriving multimedia market.

I have Series 1 and 2 on tape as do many people on this forum, given to me by two excellent traders. Not entirely sure whether tape trading is still done, though.

Tape trading is not currently being condoned due to copyright issues that have arisen.  There are other topics on this and video piracy.

So we're hoping for the DVD release those of us who haven't got all the series on the sly.

pms are a wonderful thing if you are organising things people shouldnt know about
