That's a potential 16 Blackpool botherers so far. Thanks to everyone who's posted in this thread.
Alan wrote: 11 Apr 2019, 14:53 Before opening a poll to select a date, I suggest we briefly discuss the possible dates. Realistically, it has to be on a (long) weekend. The tried-and-tested schedule would have us all arrive on the Friday early afternoon and then look to travel home on Sunday early afternoon. So we're looking at a weekend between June and August.
I can't do the last three weekends in August and I'd prefer to avoid the last weekend in June. If I had to nominate a preferred weekend at this stage, it would be 9-11 August.

Alan wrote: 11 Apr 2019, 14:53 This time, once the date has been voted on, it will not be changed. Also, to compensate for the inconvenience last time around, attendees of the previous meetup will be given two votes each this time around, rather than one.
Thank you. That gets my vote...s.

It looks like I could do the last 2 weekends in any of June, July, or August. The beginning of the months are busier for some reason. Unfortunately that almost exactly contradicts Drassil's dates!

Oh my goodness, I've been away so long I had to make another account. But this is Becxsmagic/Bex and I am very much interested in another Blackpool meetup. As far as I can tell I should be free except for the last weekend in July but that'll be a matter for the votings.

I haven't been very good at keeping in touch but am very excited about seeing Knightmarers again!

Okay, just before we open up voting, I have the following list of people as attendees to the previous blackpool meetup:

Snowcat
Billy
Kieran
KaM
Forester
Drassil
Ben
Mystara
Robin
Natalie
ClaireFearsBlades

Any disagreement there?

I did indeed go to the previous Blackpool meetup as per Alan's list, but I don't plan on going to this one, so I don't have any opinion about dates.

Okie dokey. I've put the poll together, and you can access it from here:

I'll leave it open for a couple of weeks.

Thanks, Alan. I'm afraid I've been having a Fatilla moment. Would you like us to tick one most-preferred weekend, or to tick every weekend where 'Yes' or 'Yes, if need be' applies?

Please could you also clarify how it works for those of us entitled to two votes?

Select those weekends you would like it to take place on.
There's no formal mechanism for handling two votes. I'll just adjust the numbers afterwards.

Oh yes, lots and lots of votes now.

In fact, I'm going to be closing this in a couple of days from now. So if you'd like to have some input as to when the next meetup occurs, your chances are fast running out.

Vote now!

IT IS DONE.

The votes are in and have been counted, and the requested day is: 9-11 August. This was quite a popular date, and has the potential to be one of our bigger meetups, which is very exciting.

I will have a look at accommodation costs and see what we can get.

If you didn't vote, or didn't vote for that date, you are of course still welcome to attend.
