No, as far as we can tell there was no Life Force Clock in Labyrinthe.

So the death sequences aren't particularly creepy, then? Just making sure... The death skull belongs in the existing Knightmare, and it has no right to turn my dreams into low-quality ripoffs of the greater game... >_>

The deaths are anything but scary, just a flash of light and they're gone, nothing special, but I guess it did have to be original in some ways.

French Knightmare

Goodness me! First of all the team must suffer the traumas of that mad dungeon master yelling his head off. They must have been terrified, and he is meant to be the good guy. Then the dungeoneer died on the first room! Then the dungeon master makes them look silly by asking them what went wrong. Praise the english Knightmare!

The clip is on this site. I don't think it played all the rooms though, otherwise it was very short. The prize is quite naff 'Magic Games', I know you can't play with a frightknight trophy, but that is something you have got to be proud of.

It does play the whole quest. Le Chevalier du Labyrinthe was a one quest per episode adventure, unlike Knightmare. I do prefer KM, but Chevalier wasn't necessarily better or worse, just different.

I think it was worse, and far too easy.

I am not very happy with the format of the French/Spanish versions of KM. The teams have an extremely good chance of winning each and every week. This format would be more useful in RPG terms really, not for TV use.

I do prefer it over the Spanish KM however, that just made no sense to me in the slightest.

And yes, Kieran's right, the Spanish version is simply awful. With the highly debatable exception of the quite neat outfits that the teams wore, there isn't a single aspect of El Rescate del Talisman that was done well

Treguard is sort of cunning and knightly, whereas the two on Spanish and French are abosulte nutcases.

The French Treguard is positively passive compared to the Spanish one! He is like Brian Blessed on a hyperactive day.
