My guess would be that the magic would have been used against Morghanna. Sadly Treguard doesn't give us any real clues about its true use, but I think she'd have appeared and they'd have had a chance to spellcast at her. Since they didn't have the spell, I guess she just got straight on with the business of killing them off.
I think the magic would definitely would have been used against Morghanna, as they had been warned about her by Treguard and Merlin.  One way or the other I think they would have had to deal with her.

Ah. I'd forgotten about the warnings from Merlin and Treguard. I think you're right, then, that the magic was probably meant to be used against her.

I agree, probably magic directed toward Morghanna, along the lines of a freeze spell that would momentarily stun her.
It would have been amusing to see her turn into a frog or a springer spaniel though.

Come to think of it, the magic could make Morganna have temporary amnesia, so she can't remember who you are and what you did so you can leg it to the door.

Who needs the Med when you could just sun here in Britain on the beach :) 8)

Who needs the Med when you have the likes of Clacton, Southend, Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Blackpool, Brighton, etc. to name a few

KaM wants Sunderland temporarily adding to list of UK coastal.. ermm.. places. :) Although Med is great. I look at today: after beautiful weather yesterday, atrotious today.

Back to topic, I also think the dragon magic could have any number of possiblities. I do think the spell name would be slightly more unconventional (like I think 'Grip' was as a diversionary type of magic), because I remember on a number of occasions there was the need to make a certain spell feel like more powerful magic than the average ~ and I think labelling it as 'dragon magic' achieved that feeling of 'difficult riddle for the powerful spell reward'. It is a shame that the wrong answer instantly led the team to failure, since S4 for example (I always seem to compare the two with S3 coming off favourably) didn't seem to test general knowledge quite so severely. Still, I wouldn't argue with the principles of a tough answer more or less gifting the team a win. Hope this makes sense ~ as little of my ideas do. :)
