Re: Elf lady?
If u mean Velda, quite frankly I can sum her up in a sentence;
"Pain in the overacting @rse!"
Shw also has a crossbow which fires huge missiles! lol

Re: Elf lady?
I've noticed Velda said things like 'elf boots' and that elfs have always found it strange how humans give out their names so easily. Pickle would say the same things while he was a regular fixture of Knightmare Castle, which I always found to be a nice bit of 'continuity'.

Re: Elf lady?
Velda was the first elven character in knightmare, and I think it's fair to say, the worst!
Yes, she irritated me quite a lot, her overacting was definitely drive-one-up-the-wall standard, and her constant cries of "Elven death!" and suchlike were just irrelevant.
Elves also don't use crossbows.
I think she was a misplaced character too, and may have been more at home in Series 4 or 5... Treguard states from early on that she is a wood-elf and very protective of the realms of the elven kin - fair enough, but what is a wood-elf doing hanging around in caverns?
The other two elves were better, in terms of acting and placement, methinks - Elita, a cavern elf, was actually placed in caverns, and held the traditional elvish charm and cheek.
Pickle, however, was probably the best elvish portrayal I've ever seen - his knowledge of the woods proved his wood-elf roots, and his little idiocies ("Rook and fen, rook and fen, there's something stirring in this glen!") went quite well with the ideas of elves being poetic - as Paul McIntosh once said, "Perfectly Elvish, David Learner - we salute you!"
So sorry for going off the topic, but the Knightmare elves rocked - just not Velda, she was irritating. Still, 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

Re: Elf lady?
Quite liked Velda, she always seemed to have that toughish way about her...or maybe I remember her best from my early childhood of Knightmare.
Elita....hmmm, S5, a brat, S6, far better, imo. S7, gone
Pickle. Fun in S4, 5, but seemed wanr out in S6, did not progress, maybe that is why he was axed?
