Titles

Post by HarveyTowers »

If you were watching last nights ep (Series 4 Ep 5) you would have noticed what Tom41 believed to be a prototype title sequence.

We've probably discussed titles before - but would members have liked to see this as a title sequence or are then any other ideas?

Also - what (simply) is your favourite of the 3?
Good night out there; whatever you are!

I too believe it is a prototype title sequence. I quite like the look of it, but the original cartin sequence, WITH the guy behind the bars, is my favourite.

I think the cartoon title sequence remains my favourite, but I still enjoy the other one too.
This series 4 episode 5 title sequence I will watch again, as I missed it yesterday.
The only way is onward, there is no turning back. Oooh nasty, didn't realise the road ended there!

The prototype title sequence appears on several S4 episodes, not just Ep5. I thought it looked pretty good- a little heavy on the purple, but then again, so was Series 4 itself!

If I'm not mistaken that's not the only episode end that it's on.

I think the Series 6-8 intros were the best.

I remember watching the first episode of Series 6 with a friend, and how much we laughed at the opening sequence. It struck us both as unfamiliar and silly; it detracted from both the Lord Fear 'teaser' before it, and the antechamber scene after it.

Sometimes the adage 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' is treated as a rule on television, sometimes it isn't. In this case, I wish they'd kept the cartoon knight, which continued to 'work' even when the theme music was altered.

As Billy says, it is repeated in other episodes. In fact, I imagine you'll see it again tomorrow! (or today, as I type, this is now Wednesday).
