Re: Series 1 - Episode 8

Just Series 1 I think, but happy to be corrected by anyone who's watched Series 2 more closely. In Series 1, the setup of Mogdred as the anti-Merlin was wasted because no team met Mogdred. In Series 2, it seems he was presented more simply as an evil being to beware of. By my reckoning, six teams in...

Re: Series 5 Episode 14 (Wed. 19th)

It sounds like Chris. Knightmare was first and foremost an adventure for the contestants, so the production team wouldn't have wanted to cut one of them out completely for an extended period - even if, for practical reasons, they couldn't put Chris himself in the goblin costume. I've been rewatching...

Treguard: Play fair, or Fear play foul, all begins again at the allotted h- no, wait, that doesn't rhyme. Play fair, or Fear commit crime, all... no, that won't do. Erm... take care of yourselves. Parody of Living Doll by Cliff Richard

Lord Fear brags about his end-of-Series-7 scheme, to the tune of Living Doll by Cliff Richard (1959). Lyrics Got myself a spying, gawking, dragon-stalking, leering Broll Seems that he has got amnesia but knows he's a leering Broll With a bit of graft he'll dig a shaft to Treguard like a mole Got the...

Re: Series 1 - Episode 8

Piecing together the various plans and briefs in David Rowe's book, we may now have some idea as to how Richard's quest would have played out ... The name of the room presumably implies that Mogdred would have been summoned instead, perhaps lending support to the theory that the OPPOSITE spell woul...

Re: Where did Mogdred go?

4/8 teams in Series 4 got to Level 3. 2 of those teams faced Mogdred as the adversary (episodes 3 and 16); 1 faced Malice; 1 didn't get far enough to encounter an adversary.

Had more teams got further through their quests, we may well have seen more of Mogdred. The same applies to Series 3.

Re: Corbiss the Bemuser

The dungeon is reeling after a visit from the Dunwold Thump. Queen Maldamay has cast every known cleansing spell on her hand. She gets rid of the gift left by the New World ogre: a set of metal clubs he uses for hitting balls, or golf as it's known. (Treguard was forced to play golf with Thump and t...

Re: Unintended Knightmare references in our lives

Next month, the University of Greenwich is opening a new student hub called Dreadnought . I wonder if anyone without an ID card has to sacrifice a limb to get in... And would there be room for them? Judging by the highly impressive eyeshield footage , the place is filled with Pixel's (larger, wingl...

Re: RIP Barry Chuckle

Very sad, unexpected news. Many people will fondly remember Barry for a long time to come. There's a pleasing tribute to the Chuckle Brothers in the form of Knighty Knight Mare, a Knightmare crossover written by Billy Hicks in 2004: http://interactive.knightmare.org.uk/component/legacy/page/display/...

Motley in the Crazed Heifer. Coming from Series 1-3, I couldn't believe all those people were in the studio! According to a comment made by Hugo Myatt when interviewed by Debbie Glover in 2002, the Crazed Heifer involved overlays, suggesting that some of the patrons had been prefilmed. In your case...

Re: Series 7 Episode 6?

This isn't the first time we've seen a team gain a spell from a scroll at the same time as picking up two clue objects, even if it is a first for Majida. (Other examples: Team 3 of Series 5, Team 5 of Series 6.) I don't think there's any bending or breaking of known rules here. After Treguard explai...
