Re: Knightmare Sports

I don't know why but Hordriss as one of those ancient Karate masters! :-/
Yes, that's a good one. He might across a bit like Splinter from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

How about Mellisandre leading an aerobics class?

Re: 'Lo

Good point. I can also see why they drained the wellways: just to be on the safe side...

And who says the scrolls are useless once you've read them?  ;)

Re: They would never say...

Dungeoneer is in the Block & Tackle Room, and the floor starts to fall away...
Adviser: We need some kind of floor-filler!
Treguard: #I'm in the mood for dancing, romancing...

Dungeoneer: Treguard, before we start the quest, can I just nip to the loo?

Re: 'Lo

For every nice person you get there's at least three a***holes.
So, just how many orifices do nice people have? Bearing in mind how difficult it is to find a lavatory in the Dungeon, having several a***holes could make things tricky!

(Apologies for slightly rude nature of this post.)

Re: The Zagor speaketh

"Low low low..." that's a James track.
Surely this refers to the musical group named James, whose tracks include 'Sit Down'? Whether 'Low Low Low' has a pleasant tune and expressive lyrics, I do not know.

Hello, Zagor, by the way! That's a memorable username.

Re: Look what I've done!

Finger up as a classicist. Series 4 will not be a problem as far as that goes. Am studying English and Latin. Was just itching on the one occasion when Mace 'asks' - I don't suppose you speak any latin? - The thought at 14/15 of saying 'Oh, well, a little, yes!' Heh.. might have knocked the rosters...

Re: Knightmare Sports

I'm glad you like it.  :) I used to like Bullseye a lot, and that other show, the dungeon one... Knightmare, that's it. Imagine if the cartoon beginnings of both shows crossed over, and the Cartoon Knight and Bully were having a race! They reach their destination, and it's the Dungeon antechamber, w...

Re: Cartoon Troll

Next time you watch early Knightmare (Series 3 is the earliest I've seen), keep an eye out for the troll. I think there's a kind of 'whoop' in the music as the Knight passes it. The troll, goblin, halfling or whatever looks melancholy for some reason.

Cartoon Troll

During Knightmare's original, animated, opening sequence, the Cartoon Knight rides past a troll-like creature behind a barred window. I was wondering, has anyone got any theories on this creature? Why is he/it/she incarcerated? Are there other prisoners? My half-baked theory: it's Majida. She underw...

Mrs. Grimwold as a darts player! Jim Bowen on Bullseye: 'Alright, super, smashing, if you get 180 on the next throw you've won the holiday to Winteria, if not, you lose the washing machine and the bone, and all you get's your CFH, your Cart Fare Home.' Mrs. Grimwold: 'Alright, dearie, gimme a chance...

Re: Look what I've done!

This transcription is a great achievement - all the more since you enjoy doing it! Well done.

Note for anyone who comes to transcribe any Latin (from Hordriss, Brother Mace et al): If you get stuck, write it down phonetically and no doubt there will be Classicists available to check it (I for one!)
