Re: Blackpool meetup in June-August 2019?

Have fun folks. I'll hopefully be able to join you all next time... This may be a cliché but it won't be the same without you. It sounds like you'll be enchanted by powerful technomagic this summer. All the best with it, and here's to your future escapes from Windows pains. Who's up for our trienni...

Parody of Lay All Your Love On Me by ABBA

To the tune of the ABBA song Lay All Your Love On Me (1981). Official audio , Original lyrics I so zealous in Series 2 I didn't notice the potions were all nameless brews Not that inventive, we saw it twice Without a name, potion bottles are a dull device Yet we saw even more In Series 3 and 4 And 6...

Knightmare Series 4 promo with Fatilla

A forgotten promo for Knightmare Series 4 (albeit just the first few seconds) has turned up in an upload from 5th December 1990, immediately following an episode of Mike & Angelo. It has Fatilla talking to the watchers with the giant lizard behind him. Knightmare promo 1990 - Fatilla.jpg Search onli...

Re: Blackpool meetup in June-August 2019?

Thanks, Alan. I'm afraid I've been having a Fatilla moment. Would you like us to tick one most-preferred weekend, or to tick every weekend where 'Yes' or 'Yes, if need be' applies?

Please could you also clarify how it works for those of us entitled to two votes?

2001: A Space Odyssey

At one point in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey, the camera moves towards a black oblong standing in a room.

A moment later, the camera pans down from a full moon, which of course is how most episodes of Knightmare Series 1-5 started.

Knightmare meets automatic subtitles

As you may remember from a previous forum thread , The ITV Children's Classics YouTube channel is a source of authorised Knightmare clips: over 600 of them spanning Series 1 and Series 7-8. If you want to explore these, you can use the chronological series-by-series playlists I put together. There's...

Parody of Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins

I don't know why I didn't think of this one sooner, but here's a parody of Danger Zone (Kenny Loggins, 1986) about Lillith. Music video here ; lyrics via Google. With thanks to Giorgio Moroder for the music. Level One you've entered Lillith you are bound to meet Magic incantation Makes it safe to mo...

Re: Blackpool meetup in June-August 2019?

That's a potential 16 Blackpool botherers so far. Thanks to everyone who's posted in this thread. Before opening a poll to select a date, I suggest we briefly discuss the possible dates. Realistically, it has to be on a (long) weekend. The tried-and-tested schedule would have us all arrive on the Fr...

Re: Corbiss the Bemuser

Once upon a time, a Grey Sister set out to expose the guilty secrets of the Knightmare realm's most powerful people. She formed a sub-coven and they concocted magic to unseal scrolls and boost the power of spyglasses. The secrets started leaking out as if someone were squeezing a sponge. Reports of ...

Re: Blackpool meetup in June-August 2019?

2019, you say? This sounds like a good opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the website/forum/chatroom and the friendships that have come from them. We can also raise a beverage container to Series 3, Knightmare's Big One, on the eve of its own milestone anniversary.

Re: Corbiss the Bemuser

The people of Winteria, feeling threatened by other parts of the Knightmare realm, demand armour. Noisy campaigning by the Vote Greave campaign and some Little Scaremongers seem to play a part. Queen Maesandre decides on the material: an impure steel made of scraps scavenged from the most labyrinthi...

Re: Pooka Plush

Thank you for sharing this brilliant creation and well done to Kit Sunae for making it.

Volume 2 Issue 3 of The Quest newsletter had an interview with a pooka, with a photo of what may well be the earliest pooka soft toy.

Re: Hello!

Hi and welcome. Knightmare (TV series + books) and medieval history go well together as interests. Dr. Janina Ramirez once tweeted: 'What about the genius of Knightmare though?? I think watching that was when I selected my career path - wandered into dark, unknown areas of medieval history, with no ...
