Alec Westwood: Darkside of the Deen

Alec (a.k.a Folly/Gibbet) has recently started a new podcast series which explores Aberdeen's dark history. Topics explored include the typhoid outbreak of 1964, bodysnatching and the grim tale of the last man hanged in Scotland. Click here for further information on the podcast series All episodes ...

Re: Series 1

Gibbet the surly level 2 guard would have been a good character to retain and as actor Alec Westwood returned for series 2 as Folly, i am surprised that he wasn't given a few scenes as Gibbet as well. I had the pleasure of meeting Alec Westwood in person when I interviewed him for my 25th anniversa...

Cyberzone

I've been alerted to a full length episode of Cyberzone that is available online, should anyone wish to investigate.

The episode contains a somewhat different version of Play Your Cards Right as well as some floor puzzles, though sadly the latter does not involve causeways.

Re: Timebusters

Yes, I've just watched all three of the episodes in question.

The later episode has rather interestingly, an actress who appeared in Series 4 of Knightmare and an actor who appeared in Series 8 though the latter is sadly no longer with us.

I'll say no more... ;)

Re: KM Live Gamebook Playthroughs: Fridays @ 4.30pm

After spending the past few weeks attempting to navigate our way through The Labyrinths Of Fear, it is very likely we'll be moving on to Fortress Of Assassins tomorrow (it beat The Sorcerer's Isle in a poll for which gamebook next to play). I'm looking forward to this as the opportunities to win in ...

Re: Knightmare actor and Top of the Pops 1989

Thanks David, I found the video clip you were referring to. At one point Rayner is seen through a"spy mirror" (similar to the conversation between Greystagg and Heggaty in the last episode of Series 6), and then tries to steal the object of the song name in question, which also gives him a roguish e...

Thanks for the heads up on these David. I was able to locate the vids in question, one of them was largely helped by the inclusion of a certain spider in the title. 8)

Re: Fun and Games visiting Real-Life Knightmare Locations

Nice one, and I like how you've added the Pooka and causeway to the exact rooms used! I visited Dragon Hall when I was in Norwich for the Knightmare Convention a few years ago, perhaps when this lockdown is over I can go and visit some of the others. Thankfully there's a whole list and a link to a m...

Re: Re:Download Knightmare Game Here!

Great work with the Corridor of Blades footage - it is evident that you've put a lot of effort and time into making this, well done! Loved the scene during the last ten seconds (I won't give it away so not to spoil it for anyone). Having explored your YouTube channel a bit further I must say that I ...

KM Live Gamebook Playthroughs: Fridays @ 4.30pm

Apologies for being slightly late with this one, but Paul Flannery (aka KM Live's Treguard) streamed a live playthrough of "The Labyrinths of Fear" gamebook section via Facebook this afternoon. It was great fun and there were a couple of attempts made, though unfortunately both of these resulted in ...

Hope everyone has been keeping ok.

I've been seeing various memes regarding the current situation recently and was inspired to turn one of them into a Knightmare-themed edition:

The Crystal Maze: Virtual Knightmare

I haven't put this in the "Unintended Knightmare references on TV" thread, mainly because of the title of the game and how the game itself is played. However, whilst watching some clips of the most recent series of The Crystal Maze, there is one particular game in the Futuristic zone entitled "Virtu...

Re: Unintended Knightmare references on TV

I was watching some old clips of The Chase on YouTube yesterday.

In this particular clip, the contestant was asked who would dress in a costume known as "Motley".

Naturally, the correct answer was of course jester.

Great write-up!

I've notified Dave about this post on his Fabled Lands website. Hopefully he'll come and take a look at what you've written himself.

FOLLOW-UP EDIT: Dave has since responded to the comment I made.
