Wow, that IS an honour! :D :D :D

Thank you for showing him my write up!

I aim to do retrospectives on a couple of the other books as well.

Also have it in my mind to tackle the board game and the computer games at some point soon too...

Beating The Challenge - 30 Years On

Knightmare.JPG 1988 saw the start of the second series of Knightmare and the publication of the first Knightmare book, Can You Beat The Challenge? 30 years on it is still one of my most favourite books. This is not so much a review as it is a personal reflection, but for those who are unfamiliar wi...

Re: Hugo Myatt on BBC Radio Norfolk

Just had a listen to this, a brilliant way to spend an hour!

Great anecdotes, as well as some stuff I'd never heard before.

Interesting pieces of music too.

Lovely to hear Hugo getting a nice decent chunk of airtime.

Well worth listening to if you haven't already!

RIP Barry Chuckle

In case anyone hasn't heard, Barry Chuckle, one half of the Chuckle Brothers has passed away at the age of 73. There didn't seem to be a time over the last 30 years plus that they weren't on TV. I was such a huge fan growing up and ChuckleVision was one of the few CBBC shows I watched. There was of ...

Re: WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows That Terrified Us As Kids

Interesting list. Funny, of all the supposed 'hide behind the sofa' moments I never found Dr. Who scary at all. Terrahawks I remember finding scary. Knightmare I certainly found scary as I was only 5 when episode 1 aired and it certainly kept up the (Lord) fear factor during it's incredible run. But...

Joanne Heywood In Elder Advert

For some reason I wasn't allowed to make this a new topic...

Just spotted Joanne Heywood/Stiletta in an advert for elder.org - a live-in carer service

Still looking as lovely as ever...

Re: £60m for more British children's TV on *ITV*

Great news!

Not sure if any of that £60m would ever head Knightmare's way, but with Crystal Maze and Robot Wars getting recent revivals and the 'Geek Market' being taken a bit more seriously these days we can never say never...

Re: Kids' TV Champ - Radio Times vote

Yes, I was most surprised at this and disappointed. :( Don't get me wrong, there are some wonderful shows in the list and quite a few favourites of mine (Postman Pat, Rainbow, Motormouth, Press Gang, The Tomorrow People) but there were also some shocking omissions. No Thomas The Tank Engine? No Mr. ...
