Re:Video Game?
Yes, ironically Amigas can read PC disks, but PCs can't do vice versa. That's why the disks have to be converted into 'ADF's. Then they'll work under WinUAE. On yet another hand, you also need the Kickstart ROM for an Amiga, which can be obtained either (illegally) on the Internet, purchasing 'Amiga...

Re:Series 1 Episode 3
The outfit Cedric wears is awfully familiar to the one Brother Strange wears 6 years later. Alright, I know they're both monks, but it may even be the same staff. About time we got off level 1, really. Merlin appears, and is confused. No change there then. Casper the key reminds me of Fidjit, who wa...

Re:Which Series is best??
If you were to plot what my opinions of KM down the years were like on a graph, you'd end up with a swooping, jagged line. I have yet to see any of series 2, so I can't comment on that, but my guess is that 1 starts off ok, 2 gets better, 3 reaches a peak, 4 swoops down and 5 is in the trough. Serie...

Re:Video Game?
Yes, the second knightmare game, for the Amiga (the retro home computer of champions), did receive 85% in a magazine, but it played like another game- Captive (it was based on the same engine, actually). Darn it, I knew there was a magazine scan I could have done. I'll do it soon. I'll scan in the r...

Re:Series 1 Episode 2
True, this series is, understandably, just not as polished as others. Oddly, despite the fact it isn't as linear as, say, series 4, it feels repetitive because it's only 2 episodes old and we're on the 3rd team. Folly must be waiting in the wings, getting considerably annoyed. I'll see if it grows o...

Re:Series 1 Episode 1
He really was apathetic, almost like an Angus Deayton type of character, without the smarminess (sic?). "Still, why should you care?" Say what, Treguard? :o That's one inch away from "This programme is awful. Do not watch it."! (Which, of course, it ain't) The wall monster looked...

Re:Series 1, Episode 1 - The Beginning
On the other hand, just, er, 24 to go of these topics, and then all shall fade into dust. There's a lot of gathering of these threads to do as well- right back to the depths of this forum. Still, a nice seperate section will clear this place up a bit. A separate bit for queries on certain episodes/t...

Re:Series 8, Episode 10
No, at the time they didn't know. That's why after that episode they advertised for contestants for a possible series 9 (see the KM.com website- it wasn't, of course, transmitted on Challenge as it would get some people's hopes up). Notice also that the last eyeshield sequence turned red. No firebal...

Re:Which Series is best??
Is it me, or was series 7 really quite easy? No causeways, only one instance of the corridor of blades, and far too many seemingly pointless 'sight' spells. Quite how 5 teams still managed to die I can't quite understand. The Play Your Cards Right was, let's face it, not much more difficult than Mer...

Re:Between quest seasons, what goes on?
Hmm, I can see the adverts now:
"I was training the new hobgoblin when suddenly he slipped and busted me leg. I phoned the National Accident Helpline and received £5,000 in compensation. Hehehehe- LOVELY."
'If you've had an accident in the last 3 years, and it wasn't your fault, tough.'

Re:Series 8 Episode 9
And now, the end is near...(in the chronological sense, anyway) A decent episode, with another little bit of muppetry (in the fireball alley this time) involving direction changes. Still, I didn't see any cause for concern in the Corridor of Blades...they got through it ok in my book. Treguard descr...

Re:Portal sounds
I was waiting for someone to ask this question...
I must say, I like the series 3 (with the clank of the door) sound effect, equally so the s6-8 one. The former sounds like going through a drafty dungeon door, whilst the latter sounds like a mystical teleporter.

Re:Which KM monster did you find the cutest?
Agreed on that dreadnort. But I think the latter-day Pookas didn't look at all scary. if the eyes looked in the same direction they could look cute. Instead they just look a bit brainless. The series 3 wall monsters seemed like characters to split a gin with and talk about the finer verses of Keats,...

Re:Series 8 Episode 3
I too am enjoying series 8 much more than I thought I would. The main problem is probably that it's too short. There's only 7 episodes left in this series! Series 8 is also so much more of a challenge than series 7. I waited to see if the challenge was minimal in this one, but it has so far proved m...
