Knew off topic/backup forum

Post by MoanaLiza »

Good start as it seem like the new off topic backup forum server seems to have gone down. Saying that it seems like the Yahoo server seems to also have gone down. I am surprised that the server for this forum has not gone down so far today. How many people had problems yesterday though like me?

Anyway Illusion if you haven't already done so so could you please put a link to the new backup forum somewhere on the main website. Thanx

Talk about speaking too soon! It seems like most of the servers went down temporarily. I wonder if it's a problem with my provider (NTL) or if it is actually the heat. This heat is really causing problems for things overal: I woudn't like to be travelling on a train at the moment and be stuck on it at a stand still for 4+ hours. Anyway Snowwie what's the weather like were you are then. Ours is very hot with the odds high for the temperature to reach 40c (don't know if there's a way to put special characters like a degree sign in). I don't like it too hot as it makes me feel awful and tired and there are too many insects!

Anyway the sites seem to be working fine at for the moment!

[off-topic]

there is a way to make a degree sign, as best i can this is what to do..
  • Click the "Reply" Button
  • On the second row of icons above where you type the message is a button that has the words "sup" on... [6th button from the right] - This actually is short for superscript
  • Click that button, then put a "o" between the tags...
  • And Hey-Presto, there it is, a degree sign  ;D
Its 36oc around Ipswich at the moment  ???

Hope i helped  ;)

After a Short conversation with Malefact we've figured out it seems to affect those with bt connections were affected the worst.

Does anyone have information that proves to the contrary?

Well, I'm with AOL and I haven't been able to get to this forum for several days. The website front page was fine, however. I doubt it's a BT problem per se. I used to be with BT and never had any problems getting here then.

As I've said before I'm with NTL and have had problems getting on the past few days, so it's definately not just BT. The trouble also is that I can't find a link to the backup forum on the main website, unless I've missed one, so please Illusion if there is not a link could you please put one on the main website. If there is already one could someone please tell me where it is. Thanx.

I would have put a link on the menu bar by now but I'm trying to think of a name short enough to fit on the menu! "Backup Forum" is too long. It has to be descriptive enough to ensure new visitors don't get confused between the two.

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem is that this doesn't describe what the link actually is.
