"Come and take a gander at this bit of ugliness"
Upon doing a recap today i realised I would have won that game. Martins suggestion to
" X Miles long and X metres wide
Romans and picts fighting either side
fwhat is it?"
" I think it could be grand canyon"
Wheres he coming from there? America hadn't even been discovered in roman times! :o
Hmm.... he might be a fan of Asterix and Obelix they discovered America once and they battled the Romans and I know it not real.... (I've watched too much TV again havent I?)
This is something that gets me every time I think about it:
Mellisandre says to Martin " Isn't he great" (reffering to motley)
Martin: Brilliant
Mellisandre: Isn't he great (again i think)
Martin: Yes brilliant
Melly: But you cant see with that helmet on
Martin: Well...
Melly interupts him
I really wish i could have heard his excuse, he could of got himself out of an almost unescapable situation but was interuppted.
Even if you dont know beetles as much as me its a dead giveaway! For a start, when he mensions caterpillar-hunter its obivously a sort of animal.
Queen: " And today we celebrate the launch of the h.m.s caterpillar hunter."
Secondly stag, the stag beetle is a well known beetle.
I thought Martin's team were great fun. I think it's Martin himself who makes most of the memorable moments. In a way it's a shame they mucked up- he was by far the best dungeoneer that season, in my humble opinion. I do love his conversation with Mellisandre about Motley that you quoted. I think it's the way Martin sounds ever so slightly bored as he says these things that makes me laugh. He doesn't even stop to think before agreeing that Motley's brilliant.
"Sometimes of the Grey, but always of the Green, dearie. Shurrup Brollachan! Have you seen Festus, my dear? I need to take him back to Cornwall. " [cackle]
