Yup, that's the one. Thanks for the pic. :)

However, the two Pookas look very different from each other - the one in the pic looks like it is wearing some kind of a mask, and has an overall better camouflage index than the other Pooka.

I also remember seeing the same one when another team looked through the eyeshield - It appeared for a couple of seconds and then drifted away. :\

I have never really seen a Pooka from the eyeshield point of view - Is it just me or did it make a different sound than usual when played in "eyeshield format"?

Maybe a miniature Pooka? :\

Sometime near the end of series 5, if I remember rightly. Walking through the woods, up the hill just past the house where the flower seller was once seen.

What I don't remember rightly, as it is now clear - before seeing the whole of series 4 and 5 again this year, I was convinced that when they were originally shown (at a time when I only saw occasional episodes), that at one point in series 4, during an Eye Shield shot while walking through a castle, a skull had jumped out into the screen, emitting a loud "bzzzarrp" noise similar to a team losing lifeforce rapidly, then disappeared - but it came from the left instead of the right where the Pooka had appeared from - and the advisors recoiled in shock. It now seems that this never happened. How did I get this idea, given that I saw almost none of series 5 first time round, and I am 99.9% certain that I never saw the Pooka jump out of the side of the screen then?

Has the hyperactive imagination of my pre-teens come back to haunt me?

And I for one support him!
I've always wondered what those things were, but I put it to the back of my mind and thought they were just miscellanous.

Either great minds think alike, or we're having a group hallucination.

When Challenge re-ran series 4 earlier this year, I taped the whole lot, didn't see it, but carelessly missed two episodes with most of the winning quest. So I watched the winning quest intently this time round and it still didn't happen, and that's why I'm convinced I'm dreaming it.

Can anyone clear this up, if it actually needs clearing up? I will stop smashing my head on the wall if you do.

I've been watching Series 5 over the last week and I'm pretty sure that episode with the Pooka is coming up. I'm prepared for it's sudden appearance, but I know I'll still jump out of my skin!

Pookas always scared me, I used to have real knightmares! (Sorry about the pun.)
Strange, Treguard series 1-2 scared me a little, and so did Lord Fear, but Pookas had me hiding behind the sofa (and this was only about six months ago)!

yes, pookas did seem fcuking scary!!!!

But now I can't get enough of them!

I have a screensaver of my own emulated, superimposed animation of THE pooka.
There's 6 of them and they float around a room taken from my local heritage building. It looks great.

And why do I vaguely remember the wierd pooka-eyeshield-forest bit???

I thought I was imagining it but obviously not!! It was in the series before the pooka as we know it.
Scary!

I have a plasticine pooka in a small glass jar.

Can anyone work out what pooka's were saying?

something along the lines of
"Ooga Pooka- weeweewee" ...I dont know.
All I know is (working on the railway) there's some trains that I call Pookas because they make that , you know, that pookary noise weeweewee...

Pooka's are great!!

Thankyou for reading!

I could laugh at pookas now- strange innit?
Yet, when you're only a few years old and some big green whirry thing appears on the screen getting bigger, it kinda made your hairs stand on end.

But i would like to see a clip of the actions/sounds of the "Crazed Hepher" pooka from the earlier series so that I can accuratly incorporate it in my Knightmare PC game.

The new pooka is a masterpiece in my game- I took frames from a whole cycle of it's animation so it's tail sways properly, it's nose screws up a bit, and even the wrinkles on its forehead change!!

Call me mad but I even have a screensaver with 6 of 'em floating around!!
