Episode titles
So, you know how some programmes give each episode its own title? Can you think of any good titles for Knightmare episodes? (I guess the very first one would have to be 'Enter, Stranger'.)

Re: Episode titles
Hehe that would have been good. For Ben's team how about something like "Fear's Splash"?

Re: Episode titles
Thank you for setting this ball rolling, Annie! Here are some that I've come up with.
1. From Little Acorns
2. Boo
3. They Think It's Oliver...
4. Duncan Doughnuts
5. Bee Very Afraid
6. Knight and David
7. The One Where Ross Finds Out
8. The Idiots' Lantern
9. Dragon Dropping
10. Ocean's Elven
Oh how careless of me. It appears I forgot to say which episodes those were for. I wonder if anyone would care to take guesses. They are not in chronological order but I am willing to offer clues if wanted. The links in Dan's Episode Thread Index have recently been updated, which may help too.
And if anybody deems my wordplay groan-worthy, I would point out that CSI: Miami once did an episode about a murdered au pair laudably entitled 'CSI: My Nanny', so the bar for episode title punning is already set exceedingly low.

Re: Episode titles
I had a feeling you might be up for this challenge, David.
I'll have a go at guessing the episodes:
1. From Little Acorns
Dickon reminding Oakley what his son is called - S4E11.
2. Boo
Martin the ghost? S3E14.
3. They Think It's Oliver...
Bwahaha. I'm guessing that's the final episode!
4. Duncan Doughnuts
S5E15? Is it something to do with him losing his middle? *g*
5. Bee Very Afraid
Could either be S2E10, S2E11 or S5E13?
6. Knight and David
Hmm... is it the first episode? I think there was only one dungeoneer called David...
7. The One Where Ross Finds Out
Haha, I like this one! My guess would be S3E07 when he learns of his quest from Brangwen.
Similar titles that could apply to Knightmare episodes... The One with the Blackout (Sarah spying on LF), The One with the Jam (Alex), The One with the Shark (Martin), The One Where No One's Ready (Alan), The One with the Screamers (Becca & friends), The One with the BUT (Helen)! And a few others.
8. The Idiots' Lantern
Hee hee. Is it S1E04 when Simon's team fatally dispel LANTERN?
Doctor Who seems another good source for KM episode titles. The Creature from the Pit, The Underwater Menace, The Invisible Enemy, Dragonfire, The Awakening, The Hand of Fear!
9. Dragon Dropping
Must be the Series 6 finale! Clever.
10. Ocean's Elven
The one where Elita is on the Cloudwalker for no apparent reason? S6E06.

Eesh! Only a fraction less awful than the U2 lyric "Miami, my mammy".Drassil wrote:CSI: Miami once did an episode about a murdered au pair laudably entitled 'CSI: My Nanny', so the bar for episode title punning is already set exceedingly low.

These I particularly like.Canadanne wrote:Series 7 Episode 2 - The Bald and the Beautiful

Thanks for your guesses, Annie. They are all correct except for Number 5, which I'll leave open for further guesses.
Not exactly. I was simply being disparaging about the team.Canadanne wrote:4. Duncan Doughnuts

Yes, and referring also to Pickle's remarks about the Great Ocean.Canadanne wrote:10. Ocean's Elven

I have more:
11. Spellcast First, Answer Questions Later
12. Icicle Grace
13. Epic Vale
14. Pie to Two Figures
15. That's How We Troll
16. L-E-O Speedwagon
17. Hares of the Dog
18. Cutting Your Losses
19. All Extremely Good Things...
20. Level Three

I can't immediately put an episode to all of the latest batch, but some of the titles are great. Epic Vale, haha!

Re: Episode titles
Hmm...'That's how we Troll' sounds like a quest from series three. Was it the team who offered the gem to the goblins?

Re: Episode titles
Really? I'd have thought it was more of a reference to the final episode of series 7, although "Rock 'n Troll" is what I'd've named that episode...

You're correct, Pooka. In hindsight, I wish I'd gone for Broll, Troll and One Smoking Barry.

Re: Episode titles
Oh oops. I just looked at the word troll and assumed goblin for some reason. How about something like 'A present for the goblins' (lame title XD).

Re: Episode titles
Right, I've had a think about these!
11. Spellcast First, Answer Questions Later
McGrew's dancing, perhaps?
12. Icicle Grace
The one where Aesandre mentions walking gracefully? It took me a moment to catch the Queen reference, haha.
13. Epic Vale
I was initially thinking this involved the Vale of Vanburn, but then I realised it *must* be the epic fail of the SHRUD team in the Vale of Mogdred.
14. Pie to Two Figures
Not sure, but it could be when Mildread offers a pie whilst disguised as Gretel...
16. L-E-O Speedwagon
I had thought maybe Leo used some sort of speed spell in a dwarf tunnel, but of course it's the minecart ride to Level 3!
17. Hares of the Dog
Must be the Etruscan brandy. *g*
18. Cutting Your Losses
I'm stumped on this one.
19. All Extremely Good Things...
Alternative name for the final episode?
20. Level Three
A good title for the first time we ever see Level 3, in S1E08... or is that too obvious?
