Hmm...there may be an opportunity to make the experience of Windows XP more pleasant, and that's by changing the sounds on startup and shutdown.
Startup sound: "Enter, stranger..."
Shutdown: "D-I-S-M-I-S-S"
Fatal error: "DONG!" (Liable to frighten the living daylightas out of you if it comes suddenly)
